BOOK BLOGGERS TO LOVE

Caitlyn Loves Books Blogger

BOOKISH CONTENT CREATOR

Caitlyn

Hello! My name is Caitlyn and I am an aspiring book content creator!

I am an 18-year-old high school and college student who lives in Florida and loves to read! (obviously). If you are interested in getting to know more personal facts about me, I have a blog post detailing all the fun little icebreakers which you can read HERE!

MORE ABOUT ME

Reading has always been a passion of mine since I was a child. Last year, I tried to figure out a way to push my passion into the world while also learning to communicate and collaborate with people online who share this same passion. Every time I finish a book, the first thing I want to do is talk to someone about it. Being able to have an online presence full of people who want to hear me do just that has always been a dream of mine.

I started my Bookstagram last July and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I love being able to create content based on the books I am reading. It’s so much fun being able to message and interact with other Bookstagrammers content. Everyone is so kind and I love being a part of the community. My Bookstagram has even given me a platform to connect and interact with some of my favorite book YouTubers such as Sara Carrolli and Destiny Sidwell.

This is an example of one of the photos I took and edited to showcase some of my favorite Booktubers, Sara Carrolli’s, five star reads. Sara actually liked, commented, and reposted my post on her story which caused me to gauge a lot of engagement on this post and a few follows to my account. My biggest takeaway though was the fact that she personally messaged me and told me how much she appreciated the support.

I love how Bookstagram gave me this opportunity and I love how heartwarming of a community it is. Without my Bookstagram, I don’t think I ever would’ve gotten this opportunity.

My page has grown fast and I am now at 2,300 followers when I didn’t even believe I could reach 1,000. I am always so appreciative of everyone who engages with my content, messages me, and shares what I post!

In November, I decided to start a blog so that I had a larger place to share my longer reviews and write articles book related that other readers could use as entertainment. My blog hasn’t been as fast-growing as my Booksta but I am working hard to make sure the blog posts I write are rock-solid quality and are something that people will find entertaining.

I love writing book reviews on there, and one of my plans for the new year is to write more general book-related articles such as recommendations, author profiles, and personal content related to things that aren’t book related in my life. My blog has allowed me to discover a new passion for writing and it’s something I never thought I would love to do but it’s so fun!

One little series I have planned coming that I am especially excited for is my “Indie Author Review” series. I was actually inspired to start this series when @authorkiererayy on Instagram messaged me, asking if she could send me an ARC of her new book. Although I am a smaller creator and don’t have much influence, I figured I could start showcasing smaller indie authors and reviewing their books. I am super excited to jumpstart this mini-series and I hope it helps the authors whose books I review find encouragement and realize how exciting it is for people to find new authors they’ve never heard of before.

Another new thing I am working on is my Youtube channel! This is really scary to me because with my other ways of creating content, I can easily hide behind a computer screen, but with a Youtube channel I am putting my face and voice out there for anybody to see. I already have my first video planned so hopefully, if I don’t chicken out first, my first video will be out within a week! I plan on making both book-related and personal videos such as vlogs. Make sure to subscribe using the link at the top of this article so you don’t miss my first video!

I hope this article helped you get to know me and my content a little bit better! I love doing what I do and even though it can get frustrating at times I wouldn’t trade the @caitlynlovesbooks community for the world. I hope throughout this new 2023 year I can grow my Bookstagramblog, and YouTube channel and maybe even branch out and try other social content-related outlets.

Also thank you so much to @books4movies for giving me this opportunity! This means so much to me especially since I am a smaller creator who is looking for ways to grow!
