ABOUT ME
Hey everyone! My name is Nafeesa or @readjournalcolour, as many of you know me as. Naf to my family and RJ to some of my bookstagram besties. I live in the UK, born and bred in Greater Manchester. I work as a teaching assistant in Early Years.
I graduated with BA Hons in Early Years and Childhood Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University. Since graduating, I have worked alongside an agency as a teaching assistant. I’ve worked with many age groups, from nursery up until year 6 and gained a lot of knowledge and experience through my job.
My Love for Reading
I have been reading ever since I was a little girl. The first books that captured my heart are the Harry Potter series and I love these books till this day.
My mum used to take me to the library every weekend and I remember also attending the mobile library every week too. Great memories!
My favourite genre to read is definitely romance but I will not say no to reading any genre. Recently I have started reading more fantasy books and I am hoping to start reading more thriller and cosy murder mystery books this year.
Some Favourites
Some of my favourite authors are Lucy Score, Krista and Becca Ritchie, D. E. Haggerty and Chloe Liese. My top three favourite series that I read in 2022 are, The Addicted and Calloway Sisters series by Krista and Becca Ritchie, the Bergman brothers series by Chloe Liese and the Mindfxck series by S. T. Abby.
Hobbies and goals
So, of course I love reading! Other hobbies include colouring, all things journaling and applying henna/ mehndi.
My main book-related goals are to create amazing friendships with other book lovers, review books for popular authors and to improve my writing and blogging skills.
