TBR Book Lists
TBR Book Lists help readers never run out of books to read! This is my current list of TO BE READ books, categorized by genre. It is an unfinished list of books that I need to read. I add to this list all the time, it’s a fluid ever-changing list that makes sure I always have new books to check out.

To Be Read, by Genre
Greek TBR Book List:
I’m fairly certain that the only Greek based books I’ve read are Percy Jackson and The Odyssey. It’s a great genre, but it feels like there aren’t enough books in this category.
Sci-Fi TBR Book List:
I’m not going to lie, sci-fi is one of my least favorite genres. I’ve only read a few books from this category and they were leaning more towards magic and fantasy. Space exploration and aliens aren’t my thing.
High Fantasy TBR Book List:
High Fantasy is my FAVORITE genre. The magical worlds with a bit of a historical era vibe are where I wish I could be. There’s no better way to escape reality than to read a book that has nothing to do with it.
Low Fantasy TBR Book List:
I am also a big fan of low fantasy, although I steer clear of anything involving fae in the modern world. Beastly is a movie adaptation, but I’ve never read the book. It’s definitely at the top of my to-do list.
Dragons TBR Book List:
- A Ruin of Roses
- Court of Dragons
- Zodiac Academy
- The Inheritance Cycle Series *
- Temeraire Series
- The Breath of the Divine series
There is a difference between a book with dragons in it and a book about dragons. We need more books about dragons in the bookish world!
Vampires TBR BOOK LIST
There are many, many, many books on vampires. I only have a few listed here, but if you check out my Pinterest board or Goodreads TBR Book List, you’ll find so many more.
Werewolves TBR Book list:
Similar to the vampire books, there are an uncountable amount of published werewolf novels. I have been reading about both paranormal creatures since I was a pre-teen, and I won’t be stopping anytime soon. Bring on the full moons and fangs!
Magic TBR BOOK LIST:
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe series seems a little daunting. Is it worth the read?
Historical TBR Book List:
I am not really a big fiction/history/classics fan. It’s very rare that I find a simple fiction story that doesn’t include mythical creatures that I’ll actually like.
Pirates TBR BOOK LIST:
I’m going to be a pirate in my next life. It’s a pirates life for me 😉
Fiction TBR Book List:
THESE fictions books are exempt from my previous comment about not like fiction books. These books tend to be short and sweet and more chick-flick-ish.
