From the Author of Wolves of Adalore
Indie Author Morgan Gauthier
Morgan Gauthieris a fantasy indie author who also dabbles in the contemporary romantic comedy genre. Morgan lives in East Tennessee with her husband Brad, their three children who are all under the age of six, and their three dogs. What a busy lady!
When she is not reading or writing Morgan spends her time binge-watching Netflix shows, playing video games, and attempting to cook on the level of Gordon Ramsey (she’s not close to his level yet), she also practices archery! She just released the very first omnibus of her trilogy but more on that later! Wolves of Adalore was Morgan Gauthier’s introduction to the bookish world.
Wolves of Adalore follows siblings Salome, Crispin, and Niabi.
When Salome and Crispin were just children, they lost their home and family. Hidden away from their older sister. They are now forced out of their home and are now on the run.
Siblings. Enemies. Rivals. Only one will sit on the white throne.
Niabi killed for it once and is prepared to kill again.
Crispin wants it and is determined to have his revenge.
Salome wants nothing to do with it but has to fight for it.
After years of people insisting, she must be cursed due to her discolored left eye, Salome starts to believe they might be right. But when Harbona the seer unexpectedly visits her, he reveals not only has the year of the hunter begun, but Salome’s distorted eye is in actuality the mark of the hunter, and she is charged to avenge the blood of the innocent.
With the immortal seer, their axe-wielding guardian, and a dangerous bounty hunter known as the wanderer in their company, Salome and her brother, Crispin, embark on a journey to defeat their sister and reclaim their throne.
My Review
If you love Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones and the YA genre this is for you!
Every time I thought I knew what was going on a twist was thrown in and I would be guessing all over again! Much like Sam and Frodo in Lord of the Rings, Salome and her brother Crispin are put on two different journeys. I honestly got more LOTR vibes than GOT, however, certain parts of the book reminded me of Game of Thrones, but I’ll leave that for you to read and find out what parts I’m talking about!
I absolutely loved this book and will be buying the entire series!
What is Morgan Gauthier Currently Working On?
I had the opportunity to speak with Morgan Gauthier, and I learned that with the completion of her Mark of the Hunter omnibus, she is currently working on a completely new fantasy series! Morgan also told me the name of her new series – A Song of Shadow and Starlight. It is a new adult fantasy book with steam, however, there will not be explicit sex scenes written in her book.
But if you’re a fan of Avatar the Last Airbender, ACOTAR, and Dungeons and Dragons vibes then her new series is going to be a book for you!
The cover reveals for A Song of Shadow and Starlight is May 9th, 2023, and is available for pre-order on Amazon!
